Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to determine the status of driver education programs in the secondary schools of Tennessee. The study was intended to establish: 1) to what extent driver education was made available to the eligible students in Tennessee, 2) the availablity and utilization of simulation and multiple-car instruction in the secondary schools, and 3) the status of driver education in the secondary schools of Tennessee in relation to the eight bordering states.
