Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the roles of full-time guidance counselors in secondary schools in the 21 county area of West Tennessee, as designated by the Tennessee State Department of Education, based on the guidance counselors' (1) guidance certifications (certified and uncertified) and (2) school system classifications (county schools in county systems, county schools in city-county systems, and city schools in city-county systems).
