Abstract
The function of this investigation was to determine the value of diagnostic-prescriptive teaching in the special education program in the Carroll County School System. The results of the diagnostic-prescriptive approach were compared to the results of regular classroom teaching with groups of instructionally handicapped students matched as closely as possible in age, sex, race, grade, years in school, I.Q., and family income.
