Abstract
The effect of mainstreaming on the knowledge and attitudes of nonhandicapped preschool children aged three to five years was investigated in this study. It was hypothesized that nonhandicapped children participating in a mainstream program would have a greater knowledge of handicapped people and would have a more positive attitude toward them than children participating in a non-mainstream program.
